The army of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848-'49

An exhibition on the history of the Hungarian Defence Forces opens in Eger Castle. The installations of the Territorial Defence Committee have been complemented with Eger-related artefacts from the Castle Museum. The exhibition, which is expected to be open until the end of October, will focus on the formation of the Hungarian Defence Forces and the events of the 1848-49 War of Independence, but will also show the role of Eger Castle in the development of our military history.
